DPS arrests 6 in undercover cocaine case at El Paso motel

An undercover operation by the Texas Department of Public Safety resulted in the arrest of six people and the seizure of nearly six pounds of cocaine Monday at a motel parking lot in East-Central El Paso, officials said Wednesday.

The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs announced Wednesday an historic low in the number of people waiting on the disability claims backlog list.This week, the VA reported in a news release, the number of disability claims dropped to 98,535 claims, marking an 84 percent reduction since 2013, when the claims peaked at more than 600,000 claims.
